What’s in the box

  • Twinkly Pro 1500 Ethernet Controller

  • AC/DC power adapter

  • Ethernet cable extender with waterproof coupler and collars

  • Power plug

What you’ll need (not included)

  • Twinkly Pro light strings

  • Ethernet cable(s)

  • Wireless router or network switch with an open LAN port

Video Guide:

Step 1: Connect the light strings

  1. Locate the controller output and the light string connector.

  2. Align the polarized connectors. They only fit one way.

  3. Push firmly until seated.

  4. Tighten the collar to create a watertight seal.

  5. Repeat for additional strings supported by your controller.

Tip: A fully tightened collar is essential for outdoor, weather‑resistant installs.

Step 2: Connect the controller to your router

Simple setup with the included cable:

  1. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the controller’s Ethernet port.

  2. Plug the other end into an open LAN port on your wireless router.

Need a longer run? Use the included extender coupler:

  1. Unscrew the collar and remove the gasket.

  2. Slide the collar onto your CAT5 cable, then insert the gasket.

  3. Feed the CAT5 through the secondary collar.

  4. Push the cable into the coupler receptacle until it clicks.

  5. Reassemble in reverse order, tightening firmly to ensure a watertight fit.

  6. Repeat for the other cable end if extending two standard cables.

  7. Observe normal networking rules for CAT5 length to maintain signal quality.

  8. Plug the extended cable into an open LAN port on your router.

Note: Tight gaskets and collars prevent moisture ingress for outdoor installations.

Step 3: Power on and confirm status

  1. Plug in the controller’s AC/DC power adapter.

  2. The light strings should illuminate briefly.

  3. Check the status LEDs on the controller face:

    • Blue LED indicates network interface state:

      • Off or specific pattern: port disconnected

      • Connected, waiting for IP address

      • Connected and assigned an IP address

Once the blue LED indicates an assigned IP, your controller is on the network and ready.

Next: Configure in the app

With power and network confirmed, open the Twinkly app and follow the prompts to add and configure your Twinkly Pro controller and light strings. You’re ready to map, group, and play effects.
